It was a privilege to take part in the 5th No Consensus Knee Meeting, in Lisbon.

A congress that brought together leading international speakers in knee surgery and sports medicine, namely Sonnery-Cottet and @Manuel Leyes, fostering high-level scientific discussion — confirming that the treatment philosophy we apply in our practice is aligned with the most up-to-date international standards.

We had the opportunity to contribute to this debate by presenting a review of more than 100 osteotomies performed, analyzing the associated complications — fortunately infrequent.

We believe that only through the systematic study of our own patients can we continuously improve joint-preserving knee surgery, striving to preserve the native joint and avoid or delay knee replacement whenever possible.

We will bring the lessons learned from this meeting to benefit the population of the Leiria and Santarém regions, reinforcing U-MUV’s commitment to modern, evidence-based, patient-centered orthopaedics.

New publication on Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) surgery, published in the renowned scientific journal The Hive – Musculoskeletal Journal. The U-MUV team analyzed over 300 patients who underwent ACL reconstruction, assessing complications, return to sport, and clinical outcomes. We believe that only by systematically reviewing our own results can we continuously improve surgical practice and optimize each patient’s recovery.   You can read the article here.
